META DYN GP: Adding Tertial Reporting in Dynamics GP

Summary:

This article details how to setup Tertial Reporting in Dynamics GP Fiscal Periods.

Method:

1.  Go into the Solver Metadata Tool in the Dynamics GP integration to the Posting Period

   

   2.  The Expression uses a Case Statement that groups the Fiscal Periods into thirds.

   CASE 
   	WHEN [].PERIODID in (1,2,3,4) THEN 1
   	WHEN [].PERIODID in (5,6,7,8) THEN 2
   	WHEN [].PERIODID in (9,10,11,12) THEN 3
   	ELSE ''
   END

3.  You can then use it within a report.
