META DYN GP: Dynamics GP Day in Period

This article details how to make Days in Period in Metadata for Dynamics GP Fiscals Periods 

Method:

1.  Go into the Metadata Tool under Dynamics GP Metadata to the Period Dimension

2. Go to the Days in Period Attribute.

   

   3.  This attribute look at the Difference between the Period Start and Period End and add 1 day.   It uses an Expression to calc a Date Difference between the two dates and add 1 day.

   DATEDIFF(dd,[].PERIODDT,[].PERDENDT)+1

   4.   You can now use this in the Period Dimension
