Overview:
When attempting to import a tree that worked in 4x into a 5x environment, an error is thrown stating "A child's total percentage shall not exceed 100 percent".
Cause & Resolution:
Make sure to check if the import file has a duplicate account code and if it is exceeding percent ownership 100. If so, adjust the percentage ownership equal to 100, or remove the duplicate. Once the import file has been fixed, re-import it into the data warehouse manager and it should resolve the error message.
In some scenarios, users would have duplicate accounts because they have accounts that need to be in two locations of the tree. This is possible in both 4x and 5x to have duplicate accounts in 1 tree; however, the process is slightly different.
When creating and importing trees within 5x, if you have trees with duplicate childs, that their ownership must all add up to 100.
For example: if in one tree the ownership of all duplicate childs at 100 percent, then this tree when imported will receive the error, "A child's total percentage shall not exceed 100 percent". Within another tree, the duplicate children accounts added up to 100. This tree was able to be imported with no error message.
