Summary:
This article troubleshoots an error that occurs when installing a stand alone application such as Composer without also choosing to install Report Designer. Report Designer must be installed with the other application, even if it will not be used.
Symptoms:
When a user does not select Report Designer when installing another application, they receive the following error message:

Causes:
The Report Designer must be installed with the other application, even if it will not be used. Not selecting Report Designer as an application to be installed will result in an error.
Resolution:
To get past this error, uninstall both BI360 Reporting OneStop Reporting from Programs and Features, then run the installer again and select both Report Designer as well as the application you are attempting to install. If you are just trying to install Composer the application selection page of the install wizard should look like this:
