Symptoms:
When a user selects to Update Excel in the Planning Window of a published budgeting template, they receive the following error message:
"You cannot use this command on a protected sheet. To use this command,
you must first unprotect the sheet."
Causes:
This error occurs when a Budget form is protected and the first row and column are locked.
Resolution:
1. In the report template, unprotect the sheet
2. Unhide the rows
3. Highlight the first row and right click
4. Choose the "Format Cells" option
5. Go to the Protection tab
6. Un-select the box for the Locked option
After you un-check this box, you can select OK, protect the workbook and publish the form again.
