Data Warehouse trees are useful as parameters and in creating sheet per value reports, but it takes some additional set up to create a single sheet report with a tree structure. Below is a way you could build a report to match the structure of your Data Warehouse tree.
1. Bring the Parent attribute into your report and create an outer grouping that groups by Parent with nothing in the the filter tab.
2. On the line below, bring in both the Order and Child attributes and create an inner grouping that groups by Order and Child with nothing in the filter tab.
3. In the sheet filter I have brought in Tree Structure (found in more fields of the dimension with the tree) and created a parameter for this.
4. When you run the report, you will see the parent attributes will show in the child attribute section as well. You may want to keep them if you would like to report off of them, or you could create a filter on the inner grouping to filter these out.
Attached is the sample report built off of our BI360 Corporate Demo Model database.
